One night, under the stars in a green and black hammock in someone else’s yard a friend once told me that “the war has already been won.” And ever since he told me this it has always been in my head. Personally I feel that you can take what he said in 2 ways. One being in a religious sense, saying that God fought for us and he sent his one and only son to die for us and our sins, therefore the war has already been won.
The other way you could take this is that you have already through the worst of the worst and you made it through that; so you can make it through this too. It was very funny when he originally told me this because I didn’t quite understand what he meant by what he said. I of course know what it means now and it has given me so much strength to keep moving forward. My friend has done alot for me and I feel God has lead him to me for this exact reason. To help me get through that chapter in my life.
